Hello all, it's just about time that we get to the subject of warps. I've been talking with Penguin, and we've decided that I'll be "in charge" ( sounds scary) of the warps.

First off, we're going to need warp designs. Start building and designing them! When you're finished with it, send me a PM on the forums (screenshots, or the world); send it in a private message to keep your warp design secret, so players can't vote based on who you are. We'll be having a contest, and choosing four winners. The winners receive recognition of their build. The reason we're choosing four designs on this map is that it is certainly more fun and exciting to visit all of the different warps, to see their themes and what is unique about each, compared to one 'plain jane' design. We're shooting for roughly 50 by 50, height doesn't matter.

Second, we're going to need materials. Depending on the warp designs, we're going to need various amounts of stone, stone brick, wood, bricks, ect. I'll...

[Edit: There was some confusion as to how you can actually join a password protected channel, see this post for details]

Anyone can now join mumble without worrying about certain others being there to make your time miserable.

Private, temporary, password-locked channels! This was something that was supposed to work a while ago, but unfortunately didn't, and I didn't discover that until today.

Creating a channel is easy.
Right click in the channel list, and select "Add".

You'll be presented with this window:

First thing that came to mind, for that. *shrug*

You can not add a password until after the channel is created. So, click "Ok" after you have named it, and then right click the newly created channel, and select "Edit".
You will see this window:

Here you can edit all the details of your channel, as well as add a password to it. No one (including...

You can now use up to 8 backpacks, each labelled to your own liking. Instead of having 36 slots of inventory slots, you can now have up to 468, accessible with just one command: /backpack.

How do I get it?
We used a command for this premium rather than the usual Sign (or other block), to make the process as straight-forward as possible.
Type /upgrade backpack in chat, and the next up "rank" of backpack is added to your premium shopping cart. Each backpack rank gives you access to one more backpack. Repeat the upgrade command multiple times to buy multiple ranks at once.

Each backpack rank costs 500 DarkPoints.

Very important, before you buy additional backpack ranks, you must have the basic backpack commands. They can be purchased at the in-game shop (/warp darkshop), for 500 DarkPoints.

Not as important: You also buy backpack ranks for other players, as you can with other premiums. To avoid confusing confusing messages, make...

Backpack utilities are now available!

These utilities include the ability to have your backpack pick up items from the ground (instead of them going in your inventory), and transfer items to and from your backpack via a Chest. The transfer utility can be selective (i.e. move all of a single type of item), or move ALL items. Both commands are purchased together for 1000 DP.

All information on the utilities, and how to use them can be accessed by doing these commands:
  • /upack help chest
  • /upack help magnet
Multiple backpacks are not yet ready, however the existing plan is to sell extra backpacks (a double chest inventory) up to a maximum of 8 per player. The exact DP price per extra backpack has not been confirmed. This feature should be ready by this weekend.

In approximately 3 hours from the time of this post, the server will be going down for some major updates.

We're moving away from one of our biggest custom plugins, DarkCommands. The main reason for this switch is so we can use more robust (feature wise) community developed plugins to replace a few crucial components of DarkCommands, that will offer an overall better experience for players on the sever, and open up quite a lot of new possible premiums.

To the average Minecraft player: Only a couple things will actually change that you should be aware of:
- The command to accept a teleport request changed from /call accept *caller* to /bring *caller*
- The formatting of private messages causes them to stand out a little bit less. Still obvious. The commands to start a private message and reply to one are the same.
- New commands include
-/time, which gets the Minecraft world's time, represented as a 24 and 12 hour clock.
-/biome, which tells you the name of the...
