Today we changed the in-game economy plugin we've been using ever since we've HAD shops, iConomy. We now run on BOSEconomy! The main reason for switching is performance, iConomy was having trouble coping with the insane amount shop transactions there have been on the new shop plugin, and it resulted in some pretty bad server lag. BOSEconomy handles storage of accounts completely different, and makes depositing/withdrawing from accounts significantly faster, so shop spamming won't be a problem.
Differences from iConomy that you will notice:
The /money command is replaced by /econ
To check your balance, use /econ
To pay someone, use /econ pay (player) (amount) OR use /pay (player) (amount)
The new and improved shop plugin was put onto the server today. The aim of remaking it was to include some suggestions we had for the old plugin, and make it a lot more user friendly. The basis of shops remained the same, however all controls and message are different.
Very short summary of what's new:
No more commands
Faster shop editing
Faster shop creation
Click to buy/sell
Shops now have an owner set quantity
Old shops are still compatible, however, since customers can no longer set the quantity of a purchase, most shops will have to be edited. Buying 1 log at a time won't be very fun. You can hold shift when trading with a shop to set the quantity to one stack.
I'm pleased to announce that we now have two new boosters available in the Dark Shop: the, normally unobtainable, full slab. These slabs have the same texture as the top of their respective slabs on all sides. They can be purchased at the Dark Shop for 50 dp, which will buy you three stacks.
When you walk into the shop from the center of spawn, they will be to your left on the bottom row.
Today we're launching the new DarkCraft Premiums store! The biggest improvement to this system is the automatic delivery of premiums, no longer will you have to wait up to a day for me to confirm purchase and deposit DarkPoints!
The new store is powered by BuyCraft, a versatile online store designed specifically for selling goods on Minecraft. We plan on using it to offer more than just DarkPoints in the future.
The new store can be accessed by going to: http://store.darkcraft.org
Or, you can initiate a purchase in-game, using the /buy command.
Until Monday, April 29th, 2013, you can use the coupon code dc25off to get a 25% discount on the price of any DarkPoints packages.
