Player and Staff Interaction
- 1. A Moderator's word is final.
- 2. You are not to argue with a Moderator, especially if it's of a matter not concerning you.
- 3. If a Moderator requests that you do something, you comply with their request.
- 4. Impersonating a Moderator is NOT allowed.
- 5. Moderators are to be treated with respect. They are there to help you.
- 6. Never publicly ask for the rank of Moderator! This will instantly remove any chance you will ever have at the rank.
Code of Conduct
- 1. NO hacks or cheats of ANY kind allowed. (Flying, X-ray, Noclip, Infinite health, Spammers, etc)
- 2. NO abuse of the various bugs that are present in Minecraft itself. (Duping, etc)
- 3. NO modifying of the minecraft.jar to give yourself an unfair advantage over others.
- 4. NO grief of ANY form. (Player traps, tampering with structures, the usual)
- 5. NO stealing in any form. (Taking from chests, taking blocks from structures)
- 6. NO opening chests that aren't your own. You are not allowed to even peek.
- 7. NO trespassing on land unless you have explicit permission from the owner.
- 8. NO harassing or disrespecting your fellow crafters. More on this here
- 9. You must respect the rules set by a town owner when you are in their town.
- 10.Should you require a Moderator for any reason, do not scream for help! Use "/report" in-game, or ask them for help on the forum.
- 11. Do not abuse "/report"!
- 12. Do not advertise your, or other servers without permission from a Moderator!
- 13. Bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes any slurs towards race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.
- 14. You as the owner of your Minecraft account are responsible for actions done by your account on DarkCraft. It does not matter if any one else was on your account. "It was XXX and not me" excuses will not be tolerated.
Building Guidelines
- 1. Do NOT build within 250 blocks from spawn without permission from staff. Anything found will be removed.
- 2. Do not create towns or large projects (200x200) within 1500 blocks of spawn.
- 3. Random floating houses look ugly. If you're going to create floating structures, try to give them means for floating.
- 4. Create roads from bigger projects to the main spawn paths!
- 5. No tampering with space above or below spawn paths. Stay at least 5 blocks away on either side when building; this is server land.
- 6. No needle towers, do not grow trees one on top of each-other, and do not grow giant mushrooms one on top of each-other!
- 7. Make sure you remove all logs from a tree before walking away. Remember to replant trees too!
- 8. Ask permissions from a project owner if you plan to build within 50 blocks of their work. If you don't, and build too close, you may be forced to take your work down. This rule is waived for projects less than 100 blocks away from spawn roads.
- 9. Always plan ahead, avoid future border conflicts with other nearby projects.
- 10. No mob grinders; a grinder is an automatically mob killing device. Spawners are allowed to be exploited, but you are not allowed to idle at them to let mobs build up, this is extremely hard on the server. Kill your mobs as they spawn.
- 11. Automatically harvesting farms in which your loot goes into water to flow to a collection area are not allowed. If you create a mechanically assisted farm, try with pistons. Please be reasonable with the size of your farm. Ask a Moderator to see if the size is acceptable.
- 12. Claiming land just to sell it is not an okay thing to do. Claim what you'll use only. Land can be taken away if it is found claimed, but hasn't been touched in a few weeks or more.
- 13. Make visible fences bordering your projects!
- -At least 1 solid block every 4-5 empty spaces
- -Fence is lit with torches
- -Try to put up a couple signs stating that said fence borders your land
- 13. Community wide projects (anything that will effect a wide amount of players) require permission from the staff to be created.
- -No unattended clocks. We can detect them and will destroy them
- -No rapid pulsars
- -No rapid firing dispensers
- -Unleashing lava/water (to make cobble?) down a mountain in unacceptable. Keep the complexity of flowing water/lava devices reasonable
- -Pistons for doors are FINE, don't make pistons that are attached to clocks that are attached to, say, a automatically playing piano
- -Keep redstone clock rates above 5.
Chat and Community Guidelines
- 1. No excessive spamming.
- 2. Take one on one conversations to personal message. (See here for the appropriate commands)
- 3. No arguing in global chat. Take it to PM. (See above for command)
- 4. No excessive vulgarity, and do not mention inappropriate websites in chat.
- 5. Whining in chat is annoying. Please do not share personal matters globally either.
- 6. No posting false information on the website's Wiki.
- 1. When alone, mine the entire dimension of the subway, not just a row. This forces people that dig out the rest of the stone out to get little to no gems.
- 2. Keep to the tunnel. Exploring all over caves you pass could potentially be someone's future land. It is unfair to mine before they get a chance
- 3. If digging in a group, work out a fair system for the divison of diamonds. We do not need people crying that their partner hogged all of the loot
